Technically this was the first flight of an around the world trip spanning 5 countries and 12 flights although we had positioned into Perth from Sydney to commence. As we had plenty of time we caught bus 40 from Perth CBD to Perth airport and after checking in headed to the Qantas domestic Business Lounge in terminal 3/4.
We experienced 3 nights accommodation at Peppers Kings Square Hotel in Perth as the start of an around the world trip. Our room on the 11th floor was a good size, there was a pod coffee machine but only 2 pods available but we purchased more pods from a supermarket in the next block. The hotel is close to the main train and bus station and an easy walk across town to the river and we also walked up to Kings Park which although steep at one point was not very far. This hotel was clean and fairly quiet and in a good location for us.
Recently had the opportunity to fly on a Qantas A330 in business from Sydney to Perth. Travelling in business provided access to the Qantas Domestic Business lounge in Sydney's T3.
We stopped over night at Fraser Range Station on our trip across to Esperance and again on out trip back to Adelaide. We booked and stayed in accommodation called Darby's and had the same 2 both nights.
On our trip over we had dinner prepared by the station the choice that night was Chicken Parmigiana. On the trip back we still had food left over from our time in Esperance so we used the bbq area and prepared our own plus the choice that night was lamb and one of us did not eat lamb..
Esperance Beachfront Resort 19 The Esplanade, Esperance WA 6450 was a great choice for our four night stay in Esperance Western Australia. Our one bedroom apartments with kitchen were great for self catering while it is only a short walk to hotels and restaurants in the town center and along the waterfront. we used the outdoor bbq several mornings for breakfast. Location is also great with the waterfront right across the street out front.
Prior to leaving we booked 2 rooms. We had inquired as to price and were quoted $140 per room and asked for 2 to be reserved. On arrival there were room options they had only one superior room @ the $140.00 and a standard room for $120.00. The person at the reception desk had absolutely no interest in our questions as to the differences so we took one of each.
