Prior to departing New York JFK to Helsinki on Finnair we had time to visit the American Airlines Flagship Lounge in terminal 8. Actually due to Finnair not accepting any check in earlier than about 3 hours before departure we had to wait around for a few hours before we could check in and clear immigration and security.
Previous visits to New York City we have used accomodation closer to Times Square for example, West 45th Street, West 44th Street, West 39th Street etc. This most recent trip we chose an apartment downtown, Sonder Stock Exchange at 20 Broad Street right next door to Wall Street Stock Exchange. Overall we were happy with this selection.
Following flight QF17 from Sydney to Los Angeles and time in the American Airlines LAX Flagship Lounge we boarded American Airlines AA28, an Airbus A321-200 around 10:30 PM. Scheduled time for AA28 was depart LAX at 11:00 PM and arrive at JFK Terminal 8 at 7:16 AM the following morning.

Booked a Studio Suite for a week at this establishment located at 311 West 39th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue New York, New York 10018 United States during mid June 2016.
Cathay Pacific CX840 Hong Kong to New York in June 2016 was serviced using a Boeing 777 300ER as this trip was in Business class we were lucky enough to secure 11G and 11D which are the 2 center seats in the first row right behind the first class cabin bulkhead. Also these seats are in the smaller forward business class cabin which has only two rows and is separated from the main business class cabin by toilets and the forward business class galley.

The A330 on this service felt brand new. Seating in Finnair economy feels closer together than on Qantas B747 international economy. There are meant to be shared power outlets on board for laptop power but if there is it is well hidden. I could not see an AC outlet anywhere.
Millennium Broadway Hotel Times Square
Last time in NYC we stayed almost next door to this hotel at a hotel called the night hotel which was not at all good.
The Millennium Broadway Hotel Times Square on the other hand was very good. The check in clerk upgraded us and we ended up on the 45th floor with a good room and a view, plus a window that opened.
