Qantas (Qantas Link) in Australia have a fleet of Boeing 717 aircraft which are a great aircraft to fly in economy as a couple because there is a row of 3 seats down one side of the aircraft and a row of 2 seats down the other side of the aircraft. Sitting on the port side eliminates the middle seat. Business class has 2 seats either side but for the short duration, less than 2 hours it is not really worth business class unless status credits are desired and reasonably priced business class seats can be picked up transiting via Melbourne in Victoria.

Apartment Salamanca Precinct 1/55 Sandy Bay Road Battery Point Tasmania

I initially found this apartment listed on AirBNB but their stupid SMS verification requirement prevented me from signing up on AirBNB. I suppose I could have used one of the many free SMS verification sites which makes this AirBNB security requirement worthless but instead found the same apartment listed on Stayz which is where I booked Apartment Spectacular.

Located at 167 Macquarie Street in Hobart Tasmania this is the worst hotel experienced in a long time as detailed in this article. Beware of this hotel.

The Mantra Collins Hotel in Hobart was an excellent stay over 3 nights and if ever returning to Hobart will definitely be contacting this hotel direct to arrange accommodation while in Hobart.

Recently booked a 4 night stay via Qantas hotels at the Travelodge Hobart which is located on the corner of Harrington and Macquarie Streets in Hobart.

Graham Court Apartments in 15 Pirie Street, Hobart are located in a very handy area close to Clavary Hostpital in Lenah Valley Road. We booked a 2 Bedroom apartment which is advertised to Sleep up to 5. the room had 2 bedrooms and a separate bathroom, a large fridge and most utensils one would need for an extended stay. There was a double bed in the first bedroom and the second had a single bed and bunk beds. Parking is available on site, usually very close to the room. The room was clean.

We booked 2 rooms at the Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel in Hobart during October 2014. This property features large rooms that are spacious and clean. As apartment style rooms the rooms are well appointed for extended stays with everything you would need for cooking and cleaning/washing.

Parking is plentiful and included, staff are friendly and helpful. During our stay we found nothing to fault with this property with either of the 2 rooms we had.

Highly recommended as an apartment style hotel in Hobart Tasmania. Walking distance to the CBD and Salamanca

The Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart is located at 1 Davey Street in Hobart which is close to the CBD, Salamanca area etc.

The Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart Standard Room, Mountainside was a huge room with plenty of space and a King size bed. The room was clean and housekeeping could not be faulted. There is parking underneath the hotel which was included. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It has reached the point where I think in future I will pay extra rather than fly Jetstar at anytime there are other options. Jetstar base fares are not too bad although by the time you complete the booking process and pay for all their additional add-ons it really does not seem at all worth it.

Take for example booking a flight with JetStar departing Sydney and arriving in Hobart on a Wednesday for a base fare of $79 per passenger and a return fare on a Sunday of $149 per passenger totaling a basefare of $228 per passenger return.
